Assess your menstrual cycle
A healthy menstrual cycle has a few different components. Read through the multiple factors that can help you determine the health of your cycle. This information applies to those who are not on hormonal birth control and have had their period for at least 2 years.
Length of your cycle
24-35 days long
Your cycle begins on the first day of your period and lasts until the first day of your next period

Length of your period
3-7 days long
With at least 1 day of medium or heavy bleeding

Ovulation
Occurs around the middle of your cycle
Ovulation is when the egg is released from the ovary. This is when you can become pregnant!

Luteal Phase
Lasts 9-18 days
The luteal phase occurs after you ovulate and lasts until your period

Cervical Mucus
You see changes in your cervical mucus
You notice a cycle of:

dryness or pastiness in your underwear or toilet paper

moist or a wet feeling

a snot or egg-white feel or look

dry or pasty again before your period

How You Feel
You should feel ​minimal to no pain
minimal cramping, mood swings, PMS - etc. Pain does not impact daily life at all.
